I think it’s fair to say that after your wedding, most people want to be whisked away on a honeymoon to remember. The world is literally your oyster when it comes to planning your honeymoon – you may decide for a beach getaway in Europe, a safari in Africa or rent an over-water bungalow in the Maldives. It’s your honeymoon so you can decide whether it’s just you and your spouse or whether you bring your children with you!
A great honeymoon to many couples, is often prioritized by having time for one another, and not to focus too much on the general ‘touristy’ attractions. But, to be lazy and intimate, to enjoy spending time with one another and only focusing on one another!
That being said, a honeymoon can be hard to actually plan and budget for ahead of time. In this blog post,I discuss the 3 most important factors to most couples when deciding on a honeymoon destination. The more you can agree on a fantastic experience together, the more you’re likely to get from the trip:
1. Privacy
Of course, having your own privacy will be very important to most honeymooning couples. This gives you less time to worry about other people, and more time focusing on the person you’re on the honeymoon with. Privacy can allow you to enjoy lazy evenings on your balcony, to wander the beach without being bothered, and to take time to yourself. This way, you don’t really need to think about anything else, just enjoying yourself and whatever comes your way at the time.
2. Comfort & Spare Time
It may seem as though in order to enjoy a honeymoon, you need to make the most of the trip and constantly attend events, tasks, and tourist traps. But you don’t need to do any of that if you don’t want to. You can perhaps schedule a few awesome activities.The best thing about a honeymoon is going to a place with someone you care for and just spending time with each other day by day. That leisurely approach helps you relax in every way, and come to your own sense of comfort.
3. A Picturesque Location
Romantic surroundings, be they snowy, sunny, or even at a particular time of year like when the golden leaves of Autumn start accruing, can help you relax into one another with a backdrop that almost feels designed for your experience. Don’t be afraid, then, to book that remote location, or to take that boat trip, or to be as indulgent as possible. It can make a tremendous difference for all involved.
