Treehouse
As a child, you may have dreamed about having a treehouse in your back garden. Well now is the chance to live in one and not have to go back inside when dinner is ready. You can build a treehouse yourself, you just have to make sure you own the land you want to build it on. Living in a treehouse is a great way to be close to nature and the environment. Treehouse living is often associated with being off the grid, it doesn’t have to mean that at all. You can still live in a treehouse and have internet, electricity, and running water.
You might be worried about the tree outgrowing your treehouse. What if the tree moves and your treehouse falls down? This is all down to the original foundations put in when you first build it. Boat
Living on a boat has to be the most peaceful option. Just you, your family, and the water what more could you want. It is fairly simple to move life onto a boat, all you need is a boat and a boat license. The boat license allows you to ride on the waterways, you may also need to pay a mooring fee. There are not many permanent mooring sites available so this is something you will need to look into if you want to live on a boat.
If you are at retirement age this might be quite nice as you can sail up and down the waterways at a leisurely pace. Staying somewhere for a few days and then moving on. Remember that when you live on a boat you are in charge of all maintenance, this includes any narrowboat filters that need changing.
Storage Container
This might seem like a strange one but it has been done before by many people. All you need is a bit of land and then a suitable storage container. These can be delivered to you for very little. Once you have your storage container you will need to start preparing it to live in. This means you will need to put gaps in for windows and doors. Then you will need to put in electrics and decorate it like you would a usual home.
